Fake nurse may be a serial impostor

DULUTH, GA (CBS46) -

She may not be a real nurse, but it turns out 32-year-old Taiwo Sobamowo of Buford may be a serial impostor.

CBS46 News learned Sobamowo didn’t just fake being a registered nurse at a senior living facility in Cumming and the Peachtree Christian Hospice where she took care of Bobby Kristina Brown in her final days.

Police records show she’s been under arrest in Minnesota.

And two years ago in Washington D.C., authorities put out a warning accusing her of using a real nurse’s name to apply for an R.N. position.

Duluth police said it’s the same thing she did in our area.

Sobamowo is now being charged for forgery, identity fraud and practicing nursing without a license.

She will be arraigned Thursday in Forsyth County.

Investigators are also asking the public to come forward with any information on patients the suspected impostor may have come in contact with in the Atlanta area.
