No evidence of new malignancy in Jimmy Carter, Center says

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Jimmy Carter is responding well to treatment and tests show no evidence of new malignancy in the former president, the Carter Center said on Tuesday.

Carter announced in August he had been diagnosed with brain cancer. Since then, his work with the Carter Center and Habitats for Humanity.

Carter, 90, is the second-oldest living US president, behind George H.W. Bush, who is 91.
