ATLANTA (CBS46) -

He was just 29 years old. Tommy Hanson, the young, once promising pitching star for the Atlanta Braves died Monday night.

CBS46 has learned today an autopsy began and the cause and manner of his sudden death is under investigation.

According to the incident report from Coweta County, Hanson's death was listed as an overdose.

Investigators said a conversation between an officer and emergency room personnel initially spawned the possibility of an overdose, but an official cause of death has not yet been determined.

Law enforcement acknowledges this will have to be determined by medical personnel as to the cause of death.

We also found the names of two other people who were with Hanson when police were called. One of those people, Brandon Bond, is the owner of a tattoo shop in Smyrna.

CBS46 went to the shop to find out what might have happened, but Bond was not available to talk.

However, Bond responded via text and said he was staying silent for now out of respect for Hanson's family.

At this time there is no indication or suspicion of foul play.
