Father and son, back in court after deadly crash

A father and son charged in connection to the death of an elderly couple, headed back into the courtroom Thursday.

It was decided by a judge that all of the initial charges will go forward in the investigation.

Larry Thomas and his son Jesse Thomas were arrested and charged after their car slammed into

Kryzysztof Krawczynski and his wife Elzbieta Gurtler-Krawczynska in Norcross.

Police said this all started in Johns Creek, when officers tried pull the driver, Larry Thomas over because his license plate light was out. Jesse Thomas sat in the passenger seat.

When Thomas didn’t stop, a chase started and spilled into Gwinnett County.

During Thursday’s court appearance, a police officer mentioned getting a call from an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives in Tennessee. He said the two will soon face gun and drug charges in that state.

In the meantime, friends and family said their final goodbyes to the elderly couple Thursday.

“It’s been a very tragic loss,” said a family friend.

The husband and wife will be buried in Poland.
