How To Move to Canada Searches Spike after Super Tuesday

Posted: Updated:

Super Tuesday election results have bolstered a long rumored internet phenomenon.  American citizens have threatened to move to Canada pending the 2016 Presidential election.  The current searches spike on Google trends has searches up 90% for moving to the land of Syrup and Maple leafs. The previous high was November 2004.  This was the Bush vs. Kerry election where citizens were just as heated in packing their bags and leaving the US Border.

Trends were so high that the Canadian government's website crashed Tuesday afternoon.  Quartz.com determined that it was a technical glitch and not due to the search trends as first thought.  The first presidential debate is scheduled for Monday September 26 at Wright State University.
