There is something pleasant about the smell of fresh grass clippings and summer flowers, which makes the Manchester Walk neighborhood a nice place to live.

But something else smells off of Ledgewood Mill Way in Lawrenceville, which has homeowners concerned.

“It makes me feel uncomfortable because I’ve got small children living here as well as my wife and it makes me feel very uneasy,” neighbor Chad Stewart said.

A few days ago someone knocked on one of the homes around here, then rang the doorbell, and moments later busted a window and broke into the home.

“A lot of times I’m like, oh I live in a safe neighborhood and I don’t have anything to worry about. My car might be unlocked or something like that so now I’m definitely going to have to make sure I keep my eyes open,” neighbor Laurie-Ann Lindsay said.

Home surveillance video shows three men crawling on their hands and knees inside the home. They were in and out within four minutes.

“I’m thinking about putting up some surveillance cameras because we are the first house as soon as you enter, so that is very frightening,” Lindsay said.

No one was at home at the time of the incident and Gwinnett County police are still looking for the thieves before they strike again.

"It’s very bold, very bold and pretty stupid too. I’m thinking it’s just a matter of time before they get caught,” Stewart said.
