We are watching a tropical disturbance off the coast of Africa in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. This is not a tropical cyclone, but something we're watching closely.

The National Hurricane Center is giving this disturbance a 40 percent chance of development through the weekend as it moves westward. However, conditions will eventually become unfavorable for development as it moves into the central Atlantic Ocean next week.

Four storms have developed so far this hurricane season, with one hurricane.

Hurricane season ends on November 30.
