Panthers head west to battle Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (CBS46) -

Still looking to get into the win column, Georgia State will head to Colorado Springs, Colorado to take on the Air Force Academy on Saturday.

The Panthers dropped their opener to the Ball State Cardinals 31-21 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The Cardinals outgained the Panthers 455-272 and held a huge rushing advantage, ripping off 325 yards to just 77 for the Panthers.

Cardinal running back James Gilbert had a huge day, gaining 161 yards on 29 carries and 2 touchdowns. 

Air Force is coming off a season-opening win over Abilene Christian 37-21. 

The Falcons outgained the Wildcats 401-86 on the ground and racked up over 600 yards of total offense. 

Saturday's game will kick off at 2 p.m.
