ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank handed over the keys Monday as a program aimed at creating jobs for residents of the blighted neighborhoods surrounding Mercedes-Benz stadium opened a new facility.

Westside Works, opened 2 1/2 years ago by the Blank Foundation, has so far placed more than 350 Westside residents in living-wage jobs.

Blank attended the official opening of the new home of Westside Works headquarters along with several prominent members of the Atlanta city government. The facility is located on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard in the city's impoverished Vine City neighborhood.

This is considered a big milestone for the Blank Foundation, which handed over the keys to a Westside-based nonprofit, Integrity CDC, which will become the managing partner. Supporters consider it the ultimate way to empower the community.
