Road rage suspected in Gwinnett County homicide

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Gwinnett County Police have identified a man killed during a suspected road rage incident around midnight on Thursday.

Police said the incident happened Thursday night around 8:30 p.m. in Gwinnett Village near Crescent Drive and Button Gwinnett Drive in unincorporated Norcross. They said Michael J. Harvey, 39, of Snellville, was killed in the incident.

Few details are known about the incident but a witness found Harvey lying unresponsive in the roadway, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police found two vehicles at the scene, both had sustained damage. The suspect's vehicle appeared to have been stolen. There is no description of the suspect, who escaped either on foot or by another vehicle.
