NORCROSS, GA (CBS46) -

Police say a mother and her son and daughter all died from gunshot wounds Friday afternoon in Gwinnett County.

The shooting occurred on Pebble Creek Drive in Norcross.

Police say the father called for help just after 4 p.m. after he came home and discovered that his family were shot to death.

"He came back to find his son in a pool of blood and found his wife and daughter in a pool of blood so it must have been really hard for him," said Octavio Gutierrez, a friend of the father.

Police say they are investigating the possibility that the 26-year-old son, identified as Jermaine Roby killed his 55-year-old mother Josephine Roby-Skinner and 10-year-old sister Jasmyn Skinner prior to turning the gun on himself, although they say the final manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner.

Police have also identified Jermaine Roby as a person of interest in a homicide in the Highland Ridge Apartments in Atlanta where 40 year-old Quincy King was shot and killed. That shooting happened just hours before the triple-shooting in Norcross.

Police are comparing evidence to see if the same gun was used in both shootings.
