DACULA, GA (CBS46) -

Several dogs removed from a home in Dacula during an elderly abuse investigation are now ready for adoption.

About 25 dogs were removed from the home by Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement November 28. The dogs were taken to the Gwinnett Animal Shelter and evaluated.  Each of the dogs were in good health.

The dogs are labeled as Beagle Mix and they range from age 7 weeks to 3 years old.  Each of them appear to have great temperament and would make a great addition to any family.

The adoption fee is $30 per animal. The fee includes a rabies vaccine, DHPP (distemper/parvo) and Kennel cough vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter.  The adoption fee will be reduced to $20 if the new owner brings in 5 canned goods to help support local food banks.

Beginning Friday, December 2, these dogs will be available to rescue groups.

The shelter is located at 884 Winder Highway, Lawrenceville.  The kennel is open Monday through Saturday 11am-4pm.
