SAN ANTONIO, TX (CBS46) -

A police officer responding to a noise complaint had no idea he'd go viral within days.

Leslie Snapp was hosting a backyard dance party for her daughter's dance club over the weekend. A nearby resident called police after hearing loud music, and when an officer arrived at the house, he was greeted by Next Generation Dance Crew members of all ages.

Instead of immediately shutting it down, he slid onto the dance floor and engaged with everyone. The officer, who works with the San Antonio Police Department, showed them how to salsa before asking them to quiet down.

Local media reported that Snapp, who also posted the video to Facebook, said her daughter's attitude toward law enforcement changed on that day.

"There is a lot of negativity in the world when it comes to cops," Snapp said. "He broke that stereotype."
