COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A student at the HAVEN Academy at Skyview received a surprise visit from his favorite movie star and Marvel Comics superstar.

Chadwick Boseman, star of the upcoming movie "The Black Panther," visited third grader Ian Hopgood at school. Hopgood was diagnosed with a brain tumor on the back of his head October 2016.

“I just want to hug you for now,” Ian told Boseman when he saw him. Then, he asked the actor lots of questions. “Can you give me some plot details on the upcoming Black Panther movie? I love you,” said Ian.

Boseman spent over an hour with Hopgood and other students and staff. He even brought Hopgood several signed Black Panther gifts and action figures.

“Ian is such an inspiration to me,” said Principal Dr. Isaac Kelly. “How can I get up each morning knowing that I have not had to face these challenges and not feel blessed and inspired by Ian? The visit was nothing short of amazing, inspirational, and heart-warming.

Hopgood and his mother will be moving to Seattle, Washington before the end of the school year in order to be closer to family.
