Atlanta passerby rescues driver from burning, overturned car

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A truck flipped over and caught fire on Tuesday morning after a woman drove it into a power pole in Northeast Atlanta.

The incident happened near 794 Monroe Drive.

A passerby saw the overturned Jeep and rescued the woman from the burning Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The female driver, who has not been identified, is believed to be in her 30s. She is also not injured.

She was cited with failure to maintain her lane, for colliding with an object adjacent to the street.

Georgia Power has already repaired the power pole.

The incident is currently under investigation.
