ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Advance voting in the District 6 runoff between Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican Karen Handel will start Tuesday, May 2.

Ossoff and Handel are vying to replace Tom Price, who now serves as Health and Human Services Secretary in the Trump administration.

“In our state, voters have unprecedented access to the polls with early voting opportunities and new technologies, such as Online Voter Registration and the ‘My Voter Page’, to easily register to vote and stay informed throughout the election cycle,” stated Secretary Kemp. “The country is watching Georgia for the results of this race, and eligible voters need to make sure their voice is heard as the district selects new representation in our nation’s capital.”

Voters in Georgia can download the "GA SOS" app or use the office's "My Voter Page" to check registration status, view a sample ballot, find their voting location, or request an absentee ballot.

Advance in-person voting starts on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. On June 20, 2017, the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
