What to expect

As this activity moves over your area, expect mostly rain, although isolated lightning will be possible.

Any severe weather?

The threat of severe weather is low in metro Atlanta and north Georgia. Earlier rain has helped to stabilize the atmosphere, which is why we're not even seeing lightning!

While the threat of severe weather is low, it's not impossible. As a cold front moves through Thursday night, isolated strong winds will remain possible.

Not over yet

While the cold front itself will move through Atlanta tonight, the parent storm in the upper-levels of the atmosphere will actually move through north Georgia Friday. As a result, scattered showers will continue throughout the day Friday in metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
