GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Students will be back in class at a Gwinnett County school following a threat posted on social media on Wednesday.

A student at Peachtree Ridge High School posted a picture of a gun on Snapchat and warned his classmates not to go to school. Extra security was called in to patrol the campus.

Principal Jeff Matthews notified parents about the threat and said the student who made it would not be at the school but officials said they couldn't discuss what disciplinary measures were taken.

They did say the student has been punished and consider the case closed.

This is the second threat against a Gwinnett County school in the past two weeks. A threat against Sweetwater Middle School was posted to Twitter on April 20.

Gwinnett County Police say they haven't made any arrests in that case.
