WINDER, GA (CBS46) -

A 9-year-old boy died from a shooting inside his home in Winder Wednesday afternoon.

The Barrow County coroner said there is no foul play suspected, but he would not elaborate further on the circumstances.

Neighbors said it happened right after the victim, Anthony Colon, got home from school.

The gun was secured in a closet, but the Sheriff's department says the boy was able to get to it without the parents' knowledge.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.

His 6-year-old brother and both of his parents were home at the time.  The parents are not accused of any wrongdoing related to the matter.

Colon was a third grader at Yargo Elementary.
