While plenty of moms felt the love on Mother's Day, a lot of metro Atlanta restaurants heard cash registers ringing.

Mother's Day was a big dollar day for the folks at Cafe 33 in Marietta.

Serving up smiles with scrumptious food is general manager Heidi Van Buskirk.

"Mother's Day is generally the busiest day for us, so we're on a long wait, lot's of people to feed and lot's of moms to make happy," says Van Buskirk.

"I just love them to death," says Audrey Brashear, a mother of two, celebrating at the restaurant Sunday.

The feeling is mutual for the Brashear sisters, a college and high school graduate spending Sunday honoring their mom.

Audrey Brashear is thankful, but also mindful of others.

"I think Mother's Day is special for everybody, but more special for everybody, even those who have mothers who are not with us anymore," says Brashear.

Not only is Van Buskirk the cafe's general managers, but she's also a mom too, with a daughter in college and a 10-year-old son.

She says there are no regrets about working on Mother's Day.

"This is the line of work I chose, so it comes with the job," says Van Buskirk.

If other moms are happy, she's happy.

"It's all about mom, so we want to make sure that it's perfect for her, and she's having a great day," added Van Buskirk.
