Blame Kim Jong-un: Military family misses reunion with Navy grandson, loses airfare

LOCUST GROVE, GA (CBS46) -

Don and Janice Mason were excited about sharing a special trip with their grandson. The Masons would fly to Hawaii and meet up with Petty Officer Third Class Austin Norman on the USS Carl Vinson.

Because of Norman's exemplary record, the Masons were invited on what the Navy calls a Tiger Cruise, in this case going from Hawaii to San Diego.

But due to threats from Kim Jong-un, the aircraft carrier was ordered to return to the Korean Peninsula and the cruise was canceled.

The Masons had travel insurance, but the insurer wouldn't pay on the claim.

That's when they decided they'd Better Call Harry.
