FAIRBURN, GA (CBS46) -

Police are searching for a man after a SWAT team was called to a Fulton County home following a domestic disturbance that left two people severely injured.

The incident began around 8 p.m. Tuesday night at a home on the 800 block of Carll Court in Fairburn.

Police say officer went to the home after receiving a call about a man and woman being assaulted by their roommate. The two victims told police that the roommate, identified as Jonathon Lafon had guns inside the home and a SWAT team was called in.

The SWAT team then cleared the home once it was discovered that Lafon wasn't inside. Police are still actively searching for Lafon, who is wanted on two counts of aggravated assault.

His roommates say he was extremely intoxicated and began attacking them with a hammer.

The two victims were taken to an area hospital with severe injuries. Both suffered broken bones but are expected to be okay.

Lafon is described as a white male, around 6 feet tall and weighing about 190 pounds.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, you're urged to contact the Fairburn Police Department.
