CHAMBLEE, GA (CBS46) -

On Wednesday May 24 Chamblee officers responded to an assault call at the Buford Lodge in Chamblee. The officers responded to the call approximately at 6:07 am.

The victim is a female taxi driver who picked up her male attacker, Bernabe Perez Hernandez from a night club around 5:30 a.m.

She took Hernandez to the Buford Lodge and upon arrival he was asleep.

She then proceeds to get out of the Taxi to open the door and Hernandez wakes, forcefully grabbed the driver, pulled her to a secluded area behind the hotel, pushed her to the ground attempting to take her clothes off.

Three males heard the commotion from the almost sexual attack and scared the Hernandez away.

Chamblee officers found Hernandez hiding in a tree without a shirt on and arrested him on the spot.
