ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Police are on the lookout for a man who charged a car in the Kroger parking lot on Moreland Avenue in Atlanta on Monday afternoon and then jumped on the car and kicked in the windshield.

“Oh wow! Why is he doing that?” store employee Kimari Robinson asked after seeing the video for the first time. “That’s scary...because you don’t know what could happen to somebody. That could be someone’s mother, grandmother or even a teenager that doesn’t know how to react to that kind of stuff.  That’s not right."

DeKalb County police are now looking for the suspect and they have a very good description since the driver captured it all on a dash cam she installed for insurance purposes.

“Now I’m going to start watching people standing on the side of the road. I might not even pull out of here until they move,” shopper Genee Lockett said.

It’s a serious concern for Jamel Hendrix and his children because there have been five various crimes within a half mile of the scene within the past week, like burglary, robbery and theft.

“I hope they get him, I really hope they get him because he doesn’t need to be out here like that,” Hendrix said.

So we asked shoppers if they are now concerned for their safety.

“Yes, because I leave here late at night and I don’t want him to be walking around or targeting me...it’s not right, they need to catch him,” Robinson said.

CBS46 spoke with the driver of the car who did not want to be on camera, but said she is feeling fine and would like anyone with information to call police.
