4 in custody after argument leads to shooting at Acworth gas station

ACWORTH, GA (CBS46) -

One person is hospitalized after being shot following an argument at a gas station in Acworth late Wednesday night.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Chevron gas station on Baker Road near the intersection with Highway 92.

According to police, two vehicles pulled into the gas station and an argument began. Witnesses say a man got out of one of the vehicles and fired several shots into the other car. The victim, identified as 25 year-old Galvin McCoy, was struck and was eventually driven to Kennestone Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police have four people in custody in connection to the shooting. Two of the suspects, 43 year-old Jamel Hughes and 25 year-old Jennifer Foutz, were charged and arrested in connection to the case.

The incident remains under investigation.
