ATLANTA (CBS46) -

The city launched ATLPlus parking with their new parking vendor SP Plus, a Chicago-based parking management and ground transportation services company.

SP Plus has a 5 year contract with the City of Atlanta and will manage the city’s on-street parking.

They will roll out new equipment from now until the fall. Drivers will now have the option to pay for parking with their cell phone through an app.

“ATLPlus will eliminate the frustration that is so often associated with finding and paying for parking,” said Mayor Kasim Reed. “We are confident that SP Plus will bring a new level of experience and service to parking in our city."

The price for parking and citations will remain the same. You can download the Park Mobile app and use it immediately.
