ACWORTH, GA (CBS46) -

An Acworth couple's pregnant Pekingese was in distress, so they rushed her to the nearest animal hospital. The vets said one of the three puppies had no heartbeat and emergency surgery was needed. That surgery would cost $1,500. The couple only had $1,000, and the hospital's policy required advance payment for new customers. In order to save the dogs, the couple had to sign a release, giving up ownership of the pets to the hospital. When the couple learned all three puppies were fine, they decided they'd Better Call Harry.

Note: The owners are putting two of the puppies up for sale. Potential owners will be screened. You can email the owners for additional information at stoyanoff73@yahoo.com.
