(Meredith) – A Michigan couple kept a 29-year-old woman in a vacant shed and forced her to perform sex acts for money, police said.

The woman with mental and physical disabilities was apparently a former tenant who had been renting a space in the couple’s mobile home, the Detroit Free Press reports.

When the victim fell behind on her payments, Misty George, 30 and her boyfriend Michael Welch, 38, allegedly kicked her out of the home and forced her to stay in a shed.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said the couple did not allow the woman to use their bathroom or shower.

George and Welch created date advertisements through a website, according to the sheriff’s office. Several men responded and paid money to the couple for the victim’s sexual services.

Both suspects are each charged with human trafficking-forced labor and prostitution/accepting earnings.
