Possible foodborne illness sickens attendees at catered event

WHITE, GA (CBS46) -

Two people have been hospitalized and officials believe many others may have been affected by a suspected foodborne illness at a catered event in Bartow County last week.

Georgia Department of Public Health Northwest Health District and the Bartow County Health Department are continuing to investigate a possible foodborne illness at a two-day catered event at Toyo Tire in White, Georgia.

Officials believe it is a foodborne-related outbreak but that hasn't yet been confirmed. Two people have been hospitalized and there may have been more. They're investigating to determine how many people were affected.

Symptoms of foodborne illness include upset stomach, stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever.
