Ryan Robert Debruyne has been charged with making a false report or threat of terrorism and was arraigned in court on Tuesday, WJBK reported.

Investigators said the situation began when Debruyne sent a snapchat message to a friend to see if they wanted to join him in re-enacting the Florida school shooting.

His friend said no, then called the police.

Police located Debruyne and interviewed him. During the interview, he confessed to sending the message to his friend, WJBK said. Police searched his family’s home, car, and property, but didn’t find any guns.

Debruyne is being held on a $10 million bond. If convicted, he could spend a maximum of 20 years in prison. His 18th birthday was this week.
