ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Remember Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms' promise to spend a billion dollars on affordable housing?

The city is spending some of it trying to encourage mixed income buildings, where poor and moderate income Atlantans want to live together.

The city's contest for designing a place everyone wants to live includes the promise of a gorgeous place to live. Wednesday, the finalists get their ideas shown off in Atlanta's highest site for great art the High Museum.

The winning design may be under construction within twelve months.
