GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

The suspect in a fatal shooting at a home in Loganille on Easter Sunday is in police custody after he was arrested in New York overnight.

Sean Edwards Tuggle, 26, was arrested by Metro North Transit Authority officers in New York around midnight. Officials said he shot his 44-year-old stepdad Christopher Grier on Sunday at a home on Grove Lake Street in unincorporated Loganville.

Police are still investigating what exactly led up to the shooting.

“I do know there was an argument between the suspect and the victim, but the substance of that argument and what led up to it is still being investigated,” Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Matthew Williamson said.

Tuggle had been on the run for three days before being arrested.
