ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A freeze watch will take effect for several metro Atlanta counties on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

The freeze watch will be in effect from 4 a.m. until 9 a.m. for the following counties: Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns,
Chattooga, Gordon, Pickens, Dawson, Lumpkin, White, Floyd, Bartow, Cherokee, Polk, Paulding, Cobb, Haralson, Carroll and Douglas.

According to the National Weather Service, a Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

As for your full forecast, expect partly sunny skies with highs in the low to mid 70s on Friday. A cold front moves through Saturday morning bringing a line of T-showers through before 10 a.m.

The rest of the day will be cloudy and cool with temperatures hovering in the upper 50s through the day. Plan on a dry, cool day Sunday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 60s.
