CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

The body of a Jonesboro man who went missing nearly three weeks was discovered at the dead end of a College Park Road in Clayton County.

David Barlow, 39, had been missing since March 29 after his vehicle was found running at the home on King William Drive in Morrow with two cell phones inside. His wallet was found several days later in College Park.

His body was discovered on April 13 when a man walking with his dog near a wooded area stumbled upon the body. The man says his dog refused to come out of the woods which lead him to the gruesome discovery.

Officers say the decomposition of the body made it impossible to identify the body immediately.

The GBI determined the body was that of Barlow on April 17 after conducting an autopsy. During the autopsy it was also revealed the victim suffered at least one gunshot wound which may have caused his death.

Barlow's death has been ruled a homicide and are working to identify leads and suspects.
