ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY (CBS46) -

A man is in custody after allegedly sexually assaulting two women Friday morning, who both believed he was an Uber driver.

Both incidents happened in Athens-Clarke County during the early morning hours on Friday.

A woman told police that she had called for an Uber driver around 3 a.m. When the person she thought was the driver showed up, she got into his vehicle. About mid-way through the ride, she discovered that the man, later identified as Emerson Redd, was not an Uber driver and she asked to be let out.

The woman told police she was raped by Redd before he let her go.

Later that day, police received another complaint from a woman who reported a similar instance. The woman said she called for an Uber ride around 1:15 a.m.  When she discovered she wasn't inside an Uber ride, she asked to be let out of the car. That's when she says Redd touched her private areas before allowing her to leave.

The woman took pictures of Redd's vehicle and gave them to police.

Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning, police located Redd during a traffic stop.

He was arrested and is being charged with Rape.
