Robbers are targeting cars in Cobb County and police warn some people may be making it easy for them to get what they want.

Around 4 a.m. Sunday morning two young men were caught on camera rummaging through a woman's car.

"I didn't know this was going on in the middle of the night while we were sleep," says the victim who does not want to be identified.

Since March 1, Cobb County Police say more than 340 car break-ins have been reported. Twenty-nine of those have been in the East Cobb area, the most recent happening in the Smyrna area.

"If I could pick up and move I would right now. I don't feel safe."

More disturbing for police is since March 1, 30 guns have been stolen from vehicles and are now on the streets in the hands of criminals.

CBS46 has also discovered fitness centers are another hot location for car break-ins.

"Often time I leave my wallet in the car," says Hersh Chopra.

Police say criminals know people don't want to carry valuable inside the gym so they are often left in their car, making it a prime location for thieves to target.
