ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Waffle House the 24-hour diner with more than 300 locations in Metro Atlanta are always evaluating their security plans.

However, following the fatal shooting in Nashville, those security plans are not being released to the public.

What this around-the-clock eatery would confirm is there will be new security measures, some that patrons will see and others that won't be seen.

"You just have to watch your back," said Bernard Elder who eats at a Waffle House four times a week.

Elder always orders one of their five dollar options, but now he wants something off the menu, added security.

"I always got my eyes open. They need some kind of security especially at night, It's too wide open, late at night they getting people from the clubs and they drunk. You never know what happens."

This concern comes after police say Travis Reinking walked into a Waffle House and started shooting a gun, killing four people and injuring several others.

It happened last week near Nashville, and today the impact could be felt at a Waffle House on Atlanta's Northside Drive.

"Knowing what happened in Nashville is definitely disturbing," said Sherena.

Waffle House leaders say a restaurant's staffing is based on that location's projected sales.
