DNA links Decatur man to 2002 murder

ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY (CBS46) -

More than a decade has passed since the murder of Pamela Crisler, but police finally have a suspect in custody.

Abdus Laroche was arrested on May 8 when DNA evidence linked him to the 2002 murder of Crisler.

He is charged with murder.

Crisler was 49-years-old when her lifeless body was discovered on August 21 in her apartment located in the 2300 block of West Broad Street.

An autopsy confirmed her death was a homicide, but police were unable to identify a suspect at the time. . 

It was not until  November 2017 when detectives received DNA evidence collected from the scene linking 34-year-old Laroche to the murder.
