COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Cobb County Police are investigating after an 11-year-old was attacked while in a women's restroom at Town Center Mall.

Authorities tell CBS46, the the child went into the stall but when she exited, the door to the stall in front of her opened. The child stated that a male, later identified as Danzell Mitchell, exited the stall in front of her and grabbed her, putting a knife towards her throat. The child screamed and was able to break free from Mitchell.

The child then ran to her father and pointed out Mitchell as he emerged from the women's restroom. He was then tackled and restrained by citizens until mall security arrived.
