HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A fatal crash on I-75 in Henry County forced the closure of all northbound lanes of the highway Thursday morning but all of the lanes have since reopened and traffic is moving through the area.

The crash on the northbound lanes happened around 9 a.m. near Bill Gardner Parkway. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash involved two vehicles, a sedan and an SUV.

The SUV flipped multiple times and ejected all nine passengers, six children and three adults. An 11-year-old girl was killed in the crash. The driver of the sedan was injured but was not ejected from the vehicle.

Just minutes later, another crash blocked the southbound lanes of I-75 after a vehicle rear-ended a box truck near the fatal crash on the northbound lanes. It is unclear if any injuries have been sustained in that crash. The roadway was shut down for a short time but has since reopened.
