GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A suspect who allegedly stabbed a driver during a road rage incident in Gwinnett County last week has turned himself in to police and now both men involved are facing charges.

The incident happened on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near Little Mill Road in Sugar Hill on May 7.

Police say 38 year-old Jesse Cole was stopped at a stoplight when he became involved in a confrontation with 25 year-old Eugene Brants. Both men got out of their vehicles and a physical fight ensued. During the fight, Brants stabbed Cole.

Cole was badly injured but is expected to survive.

Brants turned himself in Monday morning and is facing charges of aggravated assault.

Cole was also charged with battery and has agreed to turn himself in once he has fully recovered from injuries sustained during the stabbing.
