A group of about 30 students and parents gathered at the Central Presbyterian Church in front of the state capitol to speak out against gun violence and to remember victims of shootings.

The Georgia Student Alliance for Social Justice wants to see change, and with candles lit, they stood and spoke in the shadows of the capitol.

The students say they were inspired to hold the vigil following the Santa Fe, Texas shooting, and one in Clayton County that happened the following day.

"This just puts into perspective why we're fighting. Even a moment of delay will cause more people to die," says student Maddie Boulis.

For many of the students, this was not their first time speaking out against gun violence.

"None of us are going to stop fighting until we can say never again, not one more."
