ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Recently released surveillance video may be the key to solving a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a beer company founder in June of 2017.

This week marked the one-year anniversary of the death of Dan Rosen, a former CBS46 cameraman and co-founder of the award winning Mazurt Brewing Company.

He was killed as he was walking home. Bob Sandage, the last person to see him alive, says he found the home surveillance video of Rosen and believes it shows him just minutes before the fatal hit-and-run crash.

"I walked two and a half miles and put fliers in every mailbox and within an hour I got a call from someone on North Decatur Road," said Sandage.

Dan Rosen was found on Johnson Road near the intersection with Briarcliff Road, a short distance away from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He had a head contusion and several bruises when he was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A police report obtained by CBS46 says investigators think it was a gray vehicle that hit Dan, but beyond that is a total mystery.

Rosen was the president of Mazurt Brewing Company in Atlanta, which he co-founded in 2013. He also worked as a cameraman here at CBS46.
