Father's Day is right around the corner and millions of cards will be delivered. But one card in particular has mothers outraged.

The front of the card isn't addressed to 'dad" or "husband. It says "baby daddy." The card, being sold at stores here in metro Atlanta, is causing serious backlash.

Jasmine Thomas was looking for a Father's Day card for her husband, at the CVS in Midtown when she saw the card. Not only was she shocked, but she was sick.

The phrase if plastered on the card in big bold letters and in the background are two people of color kissing.

"If I'm looking for a card with African-Americans on it and it says 'baby daddy' and that's not the card for me and that's not the card for a lot of other people," says Thomas.

She says the concept is demeaning to wives who are mothers and insulting to husbands who are fathers. She also says it perpetuates the stereotype of the absent black father.

"It's not a term of endearment. It's not a compliment, it's a lack there of," continued Thomas. "I would never buy this for my husband. I'm shocked it has the term 'husband' in there."

Greeting card producer American Greetings made the card. Thomas says she found it in the "our voices" section at the CVS in Midtown.  She says she tried to contact the pharmacy to get it removed, but had no luck. So she called CBS46.

American Greetings sent CBS46 this statement about its intentions:

"This particular card was created for, and addressed to, a loving husband-which the inside copy makes clear. However, we now see that the front page, taken out of context, can communicate an unintentional meaning that we are strongly against perpetuating. We should do better in the future, and we will."

Target has already said they're removing the card from its shelves.
