CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

For many families, access to fresh fruit and vegetables is challenging. Often times, low-income families live in food deserts and have to rely more on processed foods, than fresh produce.

The Georgia Farm to Early Childhood Education initiative is working to change that, by enticing kids taste buds before they reach kindergarten. The goal:  to encourage lifelong healthy eating habits.

CBS46 anchor Sharon Reed highlights Little Ones Child Care Learning Center in Forest Park one of the first programs to embrace the initiative.
