Gainesville man threatens authorities with butcher knife

GAINESVILLE, GA (CBS46) -

Deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man they say threatened them with a butcher knife during a domestic investigation.

Tareek Damirio Jenkins, 20, was arrested a residence in the 2400 block of Floyd Road. 

Jenkins was breaking items within the home and refused to leave. Deputies say they were able to come him down but just before  he reached the doorway of the residence, Jenkins grabbed a butcher knife from the kitchen and turned in the direction of two deputies who were in the home (while holding the knife).

Deputies were able to place Jenkins under arrest at this time with no further incident.

enkins was charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer, two counts of felony obstruction and one count of misdemeanor obstruction.

He was booked in at the Hall County Jail.
