The victim of a shooting during a robbery outside of the Capitol City Club in Brookhaven has passed away.

Christian Broder was shot during the early morning hours on July 8 as he and three others were leaving a wedding reception at the facility. They were all waiting for an Uber ride when a man, later identified as 17 year-old Jayden Myrick, approached them and demanded their belongings.

As Myrick was running away, Broder tried to follow him and that's when Myrick took out a gun and shot him in the stomach.

Broder was taken to an area hospital but passed away on Saturday, July 21.

Myrick was later taken into custody and charged with three counts of aggravated assault, one count of aggravated battery and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. His charges are expected to be upgraded to murder now that Broder has passed away.

Funeral arrangements for Broder have not been announced.

He leaves behind a wife and young daughter.
