At-risk man who left an East Point medical center found safe

EAST POINT, GA (CBS46) -

Paul Fernanda Smith was found safe and taken to the hospital to be checked out.

MISSING

A Mattie's Call has been issued for a 52-year-old man who walked away from Atlanta Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon.

East Point Police say Paul Fernanda Smith left the medical center's south campus located in the 1100 block of Cleveland Avenue at 3:10 p.m.

Mr. Smith had been at the hospital for more than a month and was not cleared to leave by medical staff. He is considered to be an at-risk adult.

He was last seen wearing a royal blue shirt, black shorts, white socks and flip flops.
