WARNER ROBINS, GA (CBS46) -

A team from Peachtree City will try to become the fourth group of youngsters from Georgia to win a Little League World Series championship after advancing to Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Wednesday.

Peachtree City American Little League won the Southeast Regional Championship by defeating South Riding, Virginia, 3-0.

Jansen Kenty pitched a complete game shutout and also knocked in a run and scored a run at the plate to lead the team to victory. Kenty only allowed three hits while striking out 13.

Peachtree City scored all of their runs in the top half of the third inning. They'll play the winners from the West on Friday, August 17 at 8 p.m.

Three teams from Georgia have won the LLWS. In 1983, a team from Marietta took home the championship. In 2006 and 2007, two teams from Georgia won consecutive tournaments. Columbus and Warner Robins beat two Japanese teams to win titles.
