ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) -- New documents obtained by CBS46 reveal disturbing details in the death of Alexis Crawford.

The reports, from Fulton Superior Court, show the Clark Atlanta University student was strangled to death, something confirmed days ago. But they reveal the strangulation happened after a fight with her roommate, one of those charged in her death, Jordyn Jones. Barron Brantley, Jones’ boyfriend, also got involved, according to the documents, choking Crawford with his hands, while Jones suffocated her with a trash bag.

Sources tell CBS46, Brantley broke down and confessed the details in an interview four days ago.

Documents also reveal, the two put Crawford’s body in a plastic box and moved her to a DeKalb County park where she was discarded.

Days after Crawford’s death, Jones was seen posting on Istagram thankin people who have not been negative toward her. She wrote, “this is obviously a difficult time for me right now and I just feel helpless. My hard is really hurting right now,” the Instagram post read. “The fact that y’all are telling everyone to blow my DMs up is beyond childish. How bout y’all put that same energy y’all putting into harass me into finding my friend.”

Crawford and Jones had a contentious relationship leading up to the murder.

The week prior, Crawford filed a police report accusing Jones’ boyfriend, Brantley, of sexually assaulting her.

The three had been drinking when Crawford told police that Brantley made unwanted advances, kissing and touching her. She says she blacked out and woke up unclothed and with torn underwear. She went to Grady Hospital to be examined for possible rape by Brantley, who told Jones that he did not assault Crawford.

Crawford and Jones stopped talking after the incident. Crawford was so uncomfortable that she stopped sleeping in her bedroom and began sleeping on the sofa in the living room of the apartment.

The night Crawford was killed, Jones asked her to take her to a local liquor store. Crawford was seen on surveillance video inside the store. That was the last time she was seen in public.

When she and Jones returned to their apartment that night, the two got into a physical altercation. It is unknown why Brantley was at the apartment with the two young women. This all occured a week after Crawford reported that Brantley sexually assaulted her in the same apartment. Crawford was killed that night.

Many people have asked how a college student could turn into an alleged criminal.

While Jones does not have a previous criminal record in Georgia, her father told police that she is on probation for a DUI in Michigan. Members of her family have told CBS46 they were concerned about her behavior since she began dating Brantley.

Brantley has a criminal past dating back to 2015. He has faced charges in the past including: robbery, family violence, cruelty to children, hindering persons making an emergency telephone call, and theft by taking. His most recent arrest came in February of this year when he spent two weeks in jail for a family violence incident.

Sources close to the family told the CBS46 Bulldog Monday, they choose not to hear those details until after the funeral. But the documents release detail the gruesome facts of the case.

Fulton County said that Jones’s preliminary hearing will be held on November 22 at 9:30 a.m. at the Fulton County Courthouse.
